Lela Burbridge

Lela Burbridge is a Ugandan born writer and philanthropist. She lives in the Cotswolds, UK with her husband and three children.

Her work aims to celebrate Faith, resilience, determination, and culture. She writes for both children and adults. One of her children’s books ‘Faith Muntu and the Lost Elephant,’ a story that highlights the importance of animal conservation has been shortlisted for the Week Junior Book Awards 2024.

She’s the founder of ‘THE LELA INITIATIVE’ a Community Interest Company that uses a large percentage of its profits to support literacy projects within communities in Uganda.
