Heather Colley

Heather is a PhD candidate in English Literature at the
University of Oxford, where she focuses on nineteenth century
poetics. Her fiction has won prizes including the Oxford
Review of Books short fiction prize, the Exeter Flash Fiction
Prize, and the Hopwood Award, while her academic work
appears or is forthcoming in The Routledge Companion to
Childhood and Gender, The American Book Review, and The
Oxford Criticism and Translation Review. Her fiction revolves
around gender and experiences of girlhood and womanhood,
mental health, and contemporary issues of femininity. She
was born in New York City and grew up in the Hudson Valley;
she is now based in Oxford.
