
Karla Neblett
Karla Neblett is a writer from Somerset. Her debut novel, King of Rabbits (Penguin, 2021) is “a brilliantly crafted story about class and race” (The Independent) and a “heartfelt novel” (Guardian) that appeared on Radio 4’s Open Book, and was an Afrori Book of the Month.
Of mixed heritage and raised on a council estate in the middle of nowhere, Karla is interested in writing characters of a similar background, as well as exploring themes related to mental health and family. She holds a degree in Psychology from the University of the West of England and an MA in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University.
